Random Thoughts....

My dad bought an SL a few months ago. The interior is really comfortable and it has lots of gadgets... it's kind of like an S-Class in C+C format. Except all the tech inside looks rather dated, which is because it is.

But I don't see why you're making the comparison between an SL65 and Miata anyway. I'm sure the Merc's 600+ horsepower and 700+ torque are plenty fun to make up for it being a heavy barge. But I wouldn't pay second-hand Gallardo money for an SL65 that looks like any other SL.

I'm just arguing for the sake of arguing. The SL65 has been tested alongside the SL600 and since the 600 can put its power down better, it is actually quicker off the line and even by the 1/4 mile they are pretty much neck and neck. And as you mentioned, in that price range there are much more interesting cars available.

But those cars are not in the Criteria of being a Hard Top

But How does a Rotary engine beat a V-12 by Jag?

by weighing less and putting out just as much power also the 787B was crazy reliable.

cdbob: You didn't know that Mazda is the only Japanese manufacturer that won Le Mans (and obviously with 4 rotors)? How can you have been on this forum with so many Mazda enthusiasts, and not have known this?

The Rotaries key to winning races was pretty much always down to it's awesome reliability. BTW, The 787Bs were down on power compared to the competition. Peugeot and Mercedes both were stomping them up until they both blew up (obviously running things to hard).

Interesting bit of history, in '84 Mazda ran a 13b powered car (Lola T-616) in Le Mans and took class. Even though they were down on power, had a 30mph deficit on the straights (consider how long the track is and you can see how big of a problem that is), were sucking down more fuel than the class competition AND were running wider versions of Good Years Radial T/A STREET tires (these were not slicks, they had the same grooves and everything on the tires available at any pep boys). The competition laughed at the cars because the engines were so small yet had radiators that made the Big Block Chevy guys look small... they put out that much heat.

I've told that one before, but damn do I love that story. If there is any interest I'll scan the article I have on the cars

I need to see that race, thats amazing, 30 mph plus the fuel. I miss the days of races that were exciting and not dominated by diesels.

Somewhere I have laying around a copy of that race. Unfortunately the only time they even mention the car is when it pretty much wins. Obviously the focus was the cars winning overall.

Those things sound pretty damn good, I am going to look into them more, look like great cars.

What's the deal with fornicating at a library? This isn't the first time I've heard about it.

When stuck in the library late in the evening with a girl classmate doing a project that you have to finish that evening, the boredum kind of kicks in. In a very short time you stop thinking straight and start to seduce her. From here to going behind the book shelves and making out is not too far away.
Happens to all of us, nothing strange about that. It's what college is all about.

In a space of 2 hours HDDs in 2 of our Dell Precision workstations used by the IT dept decided to go belly-up and die on us :(
Now i'm the only guy in this office with a functioning PC.

well there's your problem...

What brand were the hdds? If they were maxtor or hitachi I can understand. If it was WD or seagate, blame dell.

Maxtor :(

Dell is sending in replacements tomorrow. Let's hope they arrive before 14:00 so there's still a soul alive in the building (not to mention myself being here)

Well, I loaded up Windows Home Server tuesday afternoon/night, and 2 maxtor drives failed within 24 hours. Typical shitastic drives.

Hahahahaha. "Dear Barely Legal, I never thought this would happen to me..."
No wait, they already made a film about that. :p

EDIT: wait, I just remembered, I wasn't legal at the time, at least not for porn that is.

It's 'Dear Penthouse' You Pedo!

Pedo? WTF? I was underage and so was she. And 16 is legal in Canada, just not legal for porn. And anyway, it never got that far in the library.

We went to her house after, parents were away.

EDIT: Penthouse? That's for sissies. Go watch some Barely Legal DVD, NOW!

I was watching X-Play today, and saw Jade Raymond for the first time (though I've heard alot about her and what she does). My god, is she not the hottest woman in the gaming industry right now?
