Other Random Car Sightings [Photo Required]

First time I've ever seen a tour bus. Too bad it was garbage music.

I have a feeling you've seen many more but never noticed. After living in one of the most garish music cities in the country, Nashville, I can tell you they are RARELY decorated in any way. They usually look like plain black buses.

Took a few pics when I was out and about yesterday.

For MXM:

I wasn't sure whether or not to put this in the carbage thread, my first thought when I saw it was:

And another possible carbage....

Almost pulls it off though.

I only ever saw one Cadillac XLR over here, are they a totally rare sight in Europe too?

Also I thought you went to the US klanky, back so soon?

First time I've ever seen it in my life, looks like a Merc SL with an ugly ass bodykit.

And yeah, back in Bayern again. Was just over there for the semester break.

It's factory carbage -- the Cadillac XLR, its answer to the SLK. It's a twin of the Corvette with a hard-top convertible, automatic-only, and less power at twice the price.

It's definitely a Chevy Caprice Classic, late 70's to mid 80's I'd say.

Hmm, I really hate re-learning about these cars but I still think something's off and it may not be a Caprice.

My dad had one as well as its Oldsmobile clone (Delta 98?).

I think that is indeed the Caprice logo on the trunk covering the key lock. But that front end is just bothering me.

Both the Caprice and Impala were B-body cars. Still trying to figure out if they were trim levels or actual different models. The Malibu was a smaller car that just looked the same, my girlfriend in high school had one.

OK, after further research it appears to be a 1978 Caprice based on the grille and inset quad headlights. (Believe it or not, based on my google image searches, the grille and headlights were different for the first model year in 1977 and again different in 1979). The 1978 Imapla had turn signals under the quad lights.

God I hate knowing about these cars.

Found this today, 1936 Dodge with 16,000 original miles. Three owners. Thing is quite a beauty, suicide doors and all. Runs like a champ.

Its not too hard to get sightings of cars out here in the Bay Area, so I dont post them much. But I caught what I thought is a real rarity, a Tesla. Its the 2nd I have seen on the road.
The shots are crappy as I am driving and using an iPhone

One little cool thing that did not come out in the shot was the guys plate which said "185kW" also had almost no noise as it passed me at a very high rate of speed.

Crappy phone pics, but oh well.

First Cube sightings in the USA for me. Parked 3 cars down from a new Challenger (There's a Dodge dealer next door, but its one of the ones scheduled to be closed), but when I got back to take that photo, the Challenger must've been out on a test drive.

Those are rare enough that most of the ones you see are actually replicas, sadly. I can't tell if that one is real or not. Maybe a Porsche expert can chime in.

Most of them are built on old Beetles. Look for Beetle rims, etc.
