Random Thoughts (Political Edition)

People keep sending Moscow Mitch $2,000 Venmo requests.

So ending section 230 would likely be the end of these fourms... BUT

I kinda want to say fuck it let the Republicans kill section 230 and watch the fallout.

I'm not exactly sure how they think being able to hold websites as publisher would force them to not censor post. Rather just the opposite I'd imagine that the big sites Facebook Twitter could create an algorithm to find objectionable post but rather than post a correction they would just erase the post and at some point drop the user saying we won't publish your stuff.

Other than here I have twitter for porn and pastries. I'd be happy to give it up to watch the national mass withdrawal symptoms. I'd love to see people like my mother learning that it takes hours for her Facebook post to be reviewed for objectionable material.

Is there something I'm missing let's just set fire to the internet

Both McConnell and Pelosi have had their homes vandalized...

If Iran was to assassinate a former president we wouldnt have to care.

Actually, we would. It would be seen as an act that is despicable. Not quite up to an assassination, but close.

It was before I had heard the Trump Tapes but hahaha

It would become the new highest profile "terrorist attack" replacing 9/11. America at large would be sunk in a tidal wave of fear as they feel that literally nobody is safe, no matter how much security the state throws at them (deserved or otherwise). The Biden administration will be stuck between not responding to the death of what was at one point one of the most important political figures on the planet (which would look to the political landscape like a tacit acceptance from a weak administration), or having to go to a war that has a non-zero chance of going nuclear.

Better to let trump die of a heart attack at home in the next five years or so I think.

There is at least one previous attempt.

Boris Johnson “waits to see which way the crowd is running & then dashes in front & says follow me."

I wonder what the mood is like on Parler right now... :ROFLMAO:

It's hilarious that they think Mittens is a traitor to the GOP. He only dissents when there's no risk to himself or the party. He's absolutely a Republican.

If you watched Don jr it's no longer his party it's Trump's party. Rudy Giuliani asked for a physical challenge. Trump gave a useless tweet. Lawmakers have gas mask on as tear gas is being used in the rotunda.

November 2020 - January 2021 will go down in history as an attempted coup.

Capital Police have guns drawn. Members of congress are praying

The Capital Building is just a building they need to assemble the House and Senate in an undisclosed location certify the vote and begin impeachment proceedings
