Best!

Just awesome...I really hope we get that next year...

Surely one of the best Formula One shots ever. The amazing Ronnie Petersen. Look at the state of the tarmac, the nancy boys wouldn't take it these days.

Ah Jacky Ickx my bad! Didn't know he drove for Lotus, just assumed it was Ronnie given the car and attitude. Assumption the mother of all fuck ups!!

"Excuse me, Officer, I didn't know that this amount of bhp/liter isn't allowed on US streets."

Because that thing used to chuck out 1000bhp/liter, a.k.a. virtually 1500bhp. It had the BMW M12/13 upright unit, which was the most powerful ever in F1.
That's not a B186:p look at the way the engine cover is molded around at the back.

Toleman TG185?
No, it is a late 80s Benetton, probably an '88 (B188) or an '89 (B189) car... It's not easy to see from the back, what distinguishes them are the air vents on top of the sidepods, on the '88 car they are much more round and big, whereas on the '89 they are relatively flat. I think it is an '89 car though...

Scary, isn't it? :|

The rollhoop and livery suggests to me it is the 1986 Benetton/Toleman.

Definitely the wrong colours for a 1987-onwards Benetton.
