Carbage

Holy crap, I wish my camera phone didn't have a 12-second shutter lag...

Imagine, if you will:

This car:

With this grill between the lexus' headlights:

With G35 taillights:

...and the worst rattle-can spray paint matte black paintjob you've ever seen along with some vents that probably aren't aftermarket, but certainly not from any american car...and you've got the monstrosity that whizzed past me today. I was at a stop light, and he passed me in a left-turn lane.

As bad as the paint job was, and the hilarity of mixing Nissan, Toyota, and Ford parts that this thing carried with it...their fabrication job wasn't 100% horrible. :)

Exactly. Very easy to "fix".
By the way, I love that model of the MR2.:D

Its one of the few Veilside kits which I think actually look ok.

Seen today:

It may be a 300hp R36, but I'm sorry, with those wheels this Passat goes straight into carbage:

Sorry to hijack this thread to talk about wheels again, but this car is really extremely very seriously tastefully modified! :p <3

I am a bit ambivalent as far as the looks are concerned but the matter of fact is that fitting wheels that big is a pretty stupid mod. It fucks up both the ride quality and the handling (as proven by Top Gear Australia).

Fitting bigger wheels doesn't necessarily mess up the handling - it depends how big the wheels are and what size you're moving up from, there's a sweet spot. The test on TGA just showed that 22" wheels on an HSV made the car slower than if it was running 20" wheels. However, that same HSV will be faster on it's factory 20" wheels than it would be on a set of 17" wheels.

Those rims look horrid on the Passat.

The Passat's not futuristic enough for the wheels. The wheels take attention away from the tires, making the car look like it was running on metallic flower petals, not wheels.

What is this "sidewall" you speak of?

They suit the Passat better than the Bentley I think. A lot of Project KAAAAAAAAHHHHHNNNN!!!!!!!!! wheels are pretty ugly though.

Seen today: Ricer clich? #157: Parking space incompetence.

Greetings, lip, and my compliments to all in here for the passat wheels discussion above without the usual internet-opinion bashing.
