SEMA 2010: Dodge Charger Redline Concept is an R/T flashback to 1970

Among Chrysler's homage to the storied past at this year's SEMA Show is this 2011 Dodge Charger Redline Concept ? the Charger that Mopar Underground would build if it could. The crimson four-door sits an inch lower to the ground over 22-inch Super Alloy wheels, all the better to keep your eyes on the black roof. Other trim pieces include the black spoilers fore and aft, tinted head- and taillights and a black side scoop to take you back to the 1970 Dodge Charger R/T.

Under the aluminum hood is a 5.7-liter Hemi wearing Mopar headers, as well as a cold-air intake and exhaust. Come shimmy and shake time, things are kept in better check by a Mopar strut tower brace. A black and red interior fills out the theme, aluminum bezels and Katzkin leather keeping it swish and prototype paddle shifters keep it truly conceptual.

Maybe if it had a supercharger or something...
That 5.7 "Hemi" really isn't an impressive engine these days...

Wow guys, really? I think it is the best looking vehicle at SEMA. It is just understated enough. I would not go with red but beyond that it is almost perfect.

The Miata20 and Superperformance's Grand Sport concept look far better than this red automatic Charger with big wheels.
 
I think the resemblance ends in the name. Charger is spelled exactly like Charger. Thats about it.

The side went was 1970 only so there's one resemblance.
 
Seriously, an 8 ball shifter on an automatic modern car?

In real life I'm sure it would stand out and probably in a good way but right now I'm feeling pretty disgusted.

Not trying to sound like a dick but I really think that interior is better suited to the Ram as well.
 
besides the shifter, that side thing on the door, the grille and the plastic where the shifter is, I kind of like it

buuuut I want that SRT8 power
