Cremation is very common in these parts, I suppose it does have to do with the smaller space needed for the urn.

If they have a use for you, that is. When I was a med student, they told us that there really was no shortage of people willing to donate their corpses, for exactly that reason. I dnon't know what a funeral costs in the States, but over here they're not that affordable.
