Random Thoughts....

Styx is rocking my socks off right about now.

Can't wait until I get the chance to see them live again.

Even saying that, they are clearly idiots and you just said you expected them to whinge about the food, and yet you still asked them to come to your night out. Maybe if they were good people you could shrug it off but from what you describe, they clearly are not and you probably should cut them out because you seem to lose out when they are company.

During the dinner, I finally realised I no longer enjoy their company, and I can't be bothered with them anymore. They'll still be at events organised by mutual friends, but I no longer wish to include them in my main circle of friends.

Unfortunantly for me, I'm the kind of person who wants to make sure everyone else is ok, and having a good time. Not just going out or whatever, but all the time. So I put everyone elses feeling and needs before my own, and it makes me miserable. I miss out so that it doesn't rock the boat, so to speak.

I want to move to Melbourne to be closer to my ex, because he's still my best friend and I miss his company. Both my closest friends are there.
But that would make my Dad miserable. I'm his best friend, so I put him ahead of myself and I stay here. Because it makes him happy.

You mean like Ragnarsson -> Ragnarsson of Hillstrand farm -> Hillstrand?
F?n fact: The Bronx is named after Jonas Bronck.

Yeah, my grandmother's maiden name somehow became Jensvold.

:comfort:
Have you tried talking to your dad about it? Sounds like you could use a change of scenery

Happy birthday! Have any plans or are you just hanging out for the day?

I had uni the whole day, so I had a dinner with friends last night and just came home from a family dinner at an awesome Japanese restaurant.

Got some awesome Birthday presents, and I kinda feel bad because oen of the items I received is relatively (to me at least) expensive.....

Poisson = fish.

My internet is now weather-dependent. Comcast fucks forgot to waterproof the equipment they were replacing on the pole this past weekend.

I WILL DESTROY THEM.

I've decided I need a bit of a change in my life. I'm currently 5'11, and weigh somewhere between 200-220 lbs. I dislike my being overweight, as does my girlfriend. Unfortunately, because I'm a college student and I am poor, I have two food options:
1. Cafeteria
2. Fast Food

And 1 is not available at the minute because it is spring break. Thusly, I'm going to change a few things over the coming weeks. I'm going to stop drinking soda or carbonated drinks outright, make an effort to simply walk around the city for at least 30 minutes to an hour a day, and to work out at least three times a week.

Hopefully, this will mean I can get below 200lbs by the end of the school year. I've never really had a good exercise habit, so this is going to be very difficult for me, but it's a change I really feel like I need.

I'm in the same boat and have been working on losing weight for about 3 weeks - I'm down 12 lb as of Monday.

Eat lots of vegetables - at least 50% of each meal.
Stop eating grains and bread as much, you need some but not as much as most people eat.
Stop eating as much dairy and meat.
No more fatty foods like cheese.

Breakfast: make a smoothie out of fruit juice and frozen berries.
Lunch: Fresh fruit and vegetables.
Dinner: The only real meal of the day, at least 50% vegetables.

I've become a fan of big salads with grilled chicken, fish or Bison on top - just a small portion of meat and no creamy dressings.

Then start exercising, even if it's just walking a mile a day. Take a spin around campus to clear your head - trust me, it helps you study and retain information.

Thats what bit me in the ass when I tried to diet. Local steak joint has their own version of Ranch dressing that has real butter added. And they sell it for 1.50$ per 20oz bottle in most stores. It's so good, you could drink it over the rocks. >.<

I officially suck at this semester.

FML.

Lowballers on craigslist need to be sent to the gallows.

I had a guy buy a bike rack off me that I had listed for 20 bucks. He goes, "is 10 ok?" In a fit of blatant naivety, I said, "sure!" He opens up his wallet, and there's TWO 10-dollar bills in there. :wall:

Though in my revenge I had installed the bike rack on his trailer hitch as a demonstration, and it was stuck on there with superhuman strength. Hope that 10 less bucks was worth it for him to struggle at getting it off his shitty Escort.

Have you talked to him about it? Maybe he'll be OK with it in some way... just not saying that you'd like it better if things were different and being frustrated that nobody notes you don't like it this way (as many people tend to do in many situations, both personal and career-wise) is a bit like not setting your indicator because nobody is letting you into the passing lane.

I went from ~250lbs to ~140lbs a couple years ago (I'm still ~140lbs). 95% of that weight was lost during college. I started cooking my own stuff and watching my calories.

I highly doubt fast food is your only option. Cooking a chicken breast isn't hard. For breakfast have a bowl of cheerios. If your school has a gym find an exercise which allows you to space out and listen to some music or podcasts while at it for an hour or so.

It isn't hard, but you can't be lazy.

I get the same way with pricey gifts but that's when my mom (or her mental voice) tells me to shut up and take it. Apparently I have a problem accepting money as gifts or things that I like but I feel guilty b/c I know they cost a bit. XD

I'm sick of listening to the fatasses upstairs stop around and yell at their TV while playing video games. Thank goodness for metal.
