The Gun thread

Eh...funny but could be better.

Spotted this elsewhere:

This drives me nuts, but what's worse is when Journalists don't know the difference between a "machine gun" and an "assault rifle." I've even heard the phrase "hand-held machine gun" used before. IT'S NOT A FUCKING MACHINEGUN!

I know you said you wanted a bullpup, but the Kriss Super V fits what you want. It's small, accurate, has very little recoil and shoots .45 APC.

I like the .45 ACP as a pistol round, but I think I would like something more like a 7.62 or 5.56 round in a bullpup. The Kriss Super V sounds more like a semi-auto SMG since it fires pistol ammo. If I was going to go that route there's the Beretta CX4 Storm carbine that looks might tempting also.

EDIT:
Do any of you guys have experience with the Beretta Cheetah? Tiff really likes how it feels in her hand and it seems to fit her well ergonomically. I had a .40 M9 for a bit which was a really sweet shooter.

Yes I recall going to a local gun shop and there were some 'gentlemen' in there playing with bayonettes. I heard one of them say ''that's some call of duty shit right der!!!'' The shop employee did not look pleased.

Hehe, I went varmint/hog hunting last year and one of our friends wanted to come along and do some Call of Duty shit to some animals. Guess who was not given a weapon

Must be the ancient wiring in Russia.

The socialist union of America is rationing electricity, my apologies.

I see you're stepping up your pursuit of that moose and squirrel, eh comrade?

Anyone have good info about Romanian PSL's?

It's not a real Dragunov, it's a Romanian AK modified to look like a Dragunov, so parts and magazines are not interchangable. Performance is not in the same league. Accuracy is somewhere between typical AK and badly-made Dragunov; it is intended as a Designated Marksman or squad support rifle and is not a sniper or counter-sniper weapon. It's a 3-5 MOA rifle with the average being around 4 or high 3s.

I've been considering one as of late, but that won't happen for a while.

I'm trying to find some plum colored picatinny rail covers, but no luck. Anyone know where you can find them?

Pretty sure nobody makes them in that color. You may have to paint some.

I was afraid of that. Is high temp paint necessary?

I don't think so, but you will need a paint that sticks to plastic.

So I had a random thought, but its going in here because its a random gun thought...

...Kinda. So I was in my Mustang tearing out all the dumb non-stock interior bits that the last owner molested it with (i'm eventually going to tear out the entire interior, but thats for another time and another thread...) and I got to the department store garbage pistol grip shifter and I realized that except for the fact that it was a cheap piece of garbage, I actually kind of liked it.

So in a moment of "how hard could it be?" that got me thinking. what would you have to do to make a shifter out of an actual pistol grip? and have it look awesome and not like garbage.
