fbc, don't bother... there are loads of iPod haters on this forum that would buy other brands just because alot of people have iPods and they want something different. I personally bought iPods long before it got popular, I had the 1G with the movable scroll wheel, then moved on to a 3G and used it up till today. As soon as it dies, I will upgrade to the iPod Classic, I just love the simplicity of the interface and compatibility for accessories.

not actually mine yet, but i am allowed to take it to MPH on Friday to perform the yearly ritual of trying out christmas presents :D

i couldn't decide if it should be this or the D40X, but the guy at Jessops said i won't notice the difference :)

came to ?417 in total, ?250 of which my parents give me, i pay the rest. but i get ?30 cashback from Nikon. camera was ?299 on it's own, bag was ?24 i think, card was ?58 and insurance was ?35 (don't know if it all adds up). they only had that card in stock so i took it, was going to get an Ultra II though

very chuffed :D

Kenwood KMC 500 (yes, they make other stuff than stereo sets)

Yep, it's basically a big-ass semi-professional mixer/ foodprocessor (800W, 4.6l bowl). Sadly, i'll have to wait until my birthday before i can use it, because i persuaded my wife that this would be a great birthday present for me :mrgreen:
 
^ How come you didn't go for the Cuisinart pro mixer? That's like the ubiquotious choice for everyone.

nice mixer i have often lusted after THIS kitchenaid but i have nowhere to store it so i think i will wait.

Oh snap, this is what I was talking about. I mixed up Cuisinart and KitchenAid. The pro KitchenAid ones are soooo cool, even though I've never baked.

After years of agony with my old Nokia 5100 (I hate the keyboard and the amazingly slow GUI), I finally decided to do something about it: I got myself a Nokia 6120 Classic 8) Now I can IRC and browse teh internets wherever I go, and I finally have a crappy little camera for those random snapshots of rare cars etc. :p

Another option of course is just not speeding. I'm not wanting to go into a huge debate here, but people who break the rules should be willing to face the consequences or just abide by them.
