The general Massachusetts meetup thread

So, will I be seeing any of you at the Stafford Rally? It's free to just hang out; I won't be running, just taking pictures and fun GoPro videos like this:

Only longer. And with more light. And more turns. And not my car.

I'm very tempted...Carrie Fisher's one-woman show is playing in NYC that weekend, so I could make a big road trip of it all. Someone in one of those threads is entering a Ford F-250, so I think they can handle inappropriately big cars.

Deltableh, when does the event start on Sunday? I won't be able to make it Saturday, but I might come by Sunday to say hi and try it out if they have time and room.

UMass Motorsport is going on a cruise on Saturday, Feb 20th. About 55 miles of awesome roads carefully picked out by yours truly. Come out and join us if you'd like. We're meeting in the visitors' parking lot on Campus (in Amherst, MA) at 1pm

Schedule another one in late March and I'll be there with my motorcycle.

Sadly, I have friends coming into town that weekend, so no time for a road trip out west. Another weekend (preferably after I can switch back to summer tires) though.

Yeah, I would want to wait for spring for something like this (summer tires, less crappy roads, less broken cat).

At least that last one should finally be resolved today.

You ran over a cat? I don't think that's an easy fix...

We have cruises whenever someone organizes one. This one is just to kick off the new year/semester and to show the newbies the ropes (a lot of new members this semester). Like I said, there will be a nice-weather cruise for sure.

I don't see why I wouldn't be able to make it. At least it gives me a deadline to finish "Stage 2" on my Seca II. :D

There's a Stage 3, as well. It involves me jumping it off a ramp and into a used-motorcycle lot.

Ahem*cough*cough*PRND-+*cough*cough*

:p

No, I remember that. If this were a race you'd probably get a number of weird looks, but its a show. Motocycles, Cobras, Corvettes, NSXs, Civics, Tiburons, VWs, and a ton of other makes/models all show up. No one cares about your tranny. In fact, we don't usually get a lot of Mazdas so you might be able to get a trophy...
