How could I forget "Donkervoort", indeed. Such an awe-inspiring name that exudes power, speed, and ferocity...wait.
You can pronounce it with a Dutch accent then?
If you don't have fun saying "Donkervoort", you're doing it rong.
If you have too much fun, people might think you were being racist.
Either way Meio I think the Donkervoort that set the ~7:14 was a heavily modified car. In the very least there was a very large spoiler on the car that set that time that's not present on the road car.
Yeah, looking for details of the D8 270 RS, they seem very different from the car that did the 7:14. There are other road cars built by Donkervoort which look very 'track' but not the same model as the car that held the 'ring 'record' not even just in name.
donkervoort sounds like a sex think
i flip her over and bam i gave her the old donkervoort
Maybe your name actually means "massive twat" in someone else's language.
I can't believe people are comparing a Radical to a Viper to...
Why not, they both claim the record for fastest lap of the N?rburgring Nordschleife circuit by a Street legal production car.
Can you girlfriend/wife/boyfriend get into the Radical while wearing a skirt?
Yes if the skirt was long and flowing enough. Irrelevant.
Then its not a normal street car.
Of course it isn't, it is abnormal or even extraordinary, that's the point.
Can he/she/it keep dry during the rain?
Not without wet weather clothing, probably not.
Then its not a normal street car.
No, that makes it a Spyder or Roadster.
Can...aw screw it if that doesn't prove a point nothing will.
Unless your point is that in some way these features have any relevance to the lap record (like the guy who suggested that the only record the ACR can lay claim to is the fastest lap by a car available in the US, with a roof), then I don't see your point.
... the Atom which is not a "real" street car. It has no trunk, can't be driven everyday (in the sense of OMG SNOW I CAN'T MOVE ANYMORE AND IM GOING TO FREEZE AS IT PLOWS THROUGH THE DRIVERS COMPARTMENT).
Yes it does, it has a boot in the same way as a scooter does. If I remember correctly, there is a cubby hole under the front fairing big enough for a couple of helmets.
It can be driven everyday in exactly the same way as a bike can be ridden everyday, that doesn't suddenly make it not a car, just as when putting a roof on a bike doesn't make it into not a 'real' bike. Just because, in your opinion, a car might be a bit uncomfortable to drive in some conditions, doesn't have any bearing on a lap record contested over by hardcore performance cars.
Too hardcore for you? Well that's just tough titty.
