There is another thread, but that requires 7 cars, and I felt that bumping a thread from 2006 was rather unnecessary.

Anyways, Post the cars that you would have in your dream garage...they can be realistic (preferable) or outlandish, but I would rather keep it realistic. Let your guilty car choices run wild (for those of you that would have a car like a PT Cruiser). And the Garage can be any size you want.

I'll start:
cars in the garage
1. Buick KNX
2. Mercedes Benz AMG Hammer
3. GMC Typhoon
4. E24 BMW M6
5. Land Rover Defender
6. 1969 Mustang GT500 (real or replica)
7. 1969 Mustang GT
8. 2005 Saab 9-5 Aero

And if the Mods/Admins desire, the thread can be closed.

-Aston Martin Vanquish S with the manual transmission conversion
-Lotus Elise
-Mercedes G300 diesel
-Infiniti FX35 with a twin turbo kit
-Lexus LS600h, for when I just don't care about driving.

1- 2004 GTO- 408cid engine swap. got the car, need the $$$ to do the engine.
2- 2006 GTO- brazen orange. auto. harrop supercharger. got the first of the GTOs... might as well have one of the lasts as well.
3- C6 Z06- stock. or maybe just h/c swap. for when i have a need for speed and don't wanna really draw attention. ZR1 is fast, yes. but it's too over the top IMHO. i like the C6's subtle scoops but super powerful LS7
4- Aston Martin V8 vantage- stock. for when i wanna draw attention but don't really have a need for speed. because honestly, the V8 vantage ain't THAT fast.
5- nissan titan- to haul stuff around with.
6- chevy TBSS- to haul kids around in. =P planning for the future i guess. and that LS2 is a plus.
7- BMW 335i- something for the wife i guess. and something i wouldn't mind driving around.
8- 2009 CTS-V. mmm... s/c V8... the fun daily driver... and something i wouldn't mind the wife driving around.
9- 1986 porsche 951. LS1 swap and tons of suspension mods. again, got the car, need the $$$ to do the engine. something for the track.
10- some older GM muscle car. camaro, chevelle, 442, something like that. full resto. something for the shows.

heh. i just realized that there's 2 of each for symmetry.

1- My current car, as-is :)
2- 09 Porsche 911
3- Ferrari 430
4- Triumph TR6
5- Lotus Elan
6- Toyota Supra, 1998
7- Vauxhall VXR8
8- Dodge Viper

1. Pagani Zonda/Next Pagani Supercar - Hypercar
2. Pagani Zonda R - Crazy-Ass Track Car
3. Mini Cooper S Works - Day to Day Town Runabout
4. Alfa Romeo 159 GTA - Day to Day Everywhere
5. Aston Martin DB9 - Favourite Car of All Time
6. Artega GT - Something Fresh
7. Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT - Practical, but still evocative
8. Jaguar XFR - Because I think it's cooler than an M5
9. Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder - Supercar
10. Range Rover Sport - Just something fast, and capable off-road (sort of)
11. Alfa Romeo 8C Competzione (Modified for better handling) - Special Events Car

And if I could still have these

12. Mk1 Jaguar E-Type - Modernised
13. 1972 Lamborghini Miura SV P400
14. Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale
15. Detomaso Pantera (Possibly The Remake Concepts from 07)

Everyday use cars:

1) Ford Focus RS. The new one. Preferably in blue.
2) RenaultSport Clio 197. 'Cause I'm a fan of Renault and the little Clio is a very good car with that engine.

The car for driving to a posh hotel/restaurant/somewhere:

3) Citroen C6. Because the Frenchies do style in this category better than anyone else.

Sunday runabout thrash-and-bash machines:

4) Porsche 997 Carrera 2S. Nothing beats the wail of a flat-six in a well-sorted out machine.
5) KTM X-Bow. For when you want the thrills of a motorbiking experience with none of the drawbacks of two wheels.

Show-and-brag cars, to be used once a year:

6) McLaren F1. Because you want, every once in a while, to feel as if you're thundering down the Mulsanne in the scream of that S70/2 BMW engine. And brag about the gold leaf lining your engine bay.
7) Dauer 962LM. Same reason, but this time because you want to sit inside what was once a legend of endurance racing, the Porsche 962.
8) Aston Martin DB5. Because you'd always like to feel like James Bond... as long as the electrics work and the water stays in the cooling system.

Now comes the motherload of collection cars which will never see a road again, because they never saw roads apart from the racetrack:

McLaren-Honda MP4-4
Lotus-Renault 98T
Williams-Renault FW14
Lotus-Ford 79
Lotus-Ford 49
Ferrari 312T3
Renault RE30
Williams-Ford FW07
Renault R26
McLaren-TAG Porsche MP4-2
Mercedes-Benz W196
Lotus-Climax 33
Maserati 250F
...
and.......
Andrea Moda-Judd S921. One of the worst F1 cars ever...

And finally track day busters:

Porsche 997 GT3 Cup
Aston Martin DBRS9
Caterham RS Levante V8 (only with slick tires and with a couple of wings fitted...)

Fiat Multipla.

No, wait. :p

Land Rover Series III << Got it!
Shelby Mustang GT500 (Old style)
Peel P50
Vanwall thing
Bowler Wildcat
Plymouth Hemi Cuda (in bright green)
Escort RS2000
Escort MkII Mexico
Maybe a DBS

*Post spot reserved for me to post maybe this weekend when I'm free!

In the meantime, a low-rider blacked-out Mercedes CLS63 AMG and an orange Jaguar XF with the XKR-S powerplant would be cool for a start :p

puhahaha i was thinking the same thing.

but is 12377817823 cars in one person's garage realistic?

Almost Realistic Dream:
- Renault Avantime
- VW Scirocco (new)
- Audi S5
- Morgan Aero 8 (As little as ?35k these days, although a new one would be nice)
- Land Rover Defender 110 (new)

What The Hell Dream:
- Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster (new)
- Jaguar XFR
- VW Scirocco (new)
- Audi RS6 Avant (new)
- Mercedes G55 AMG

I don't ask for much.

Ok, after some careful deliberation, i.e., looking at pictures of cars on the interweb and going "hmmmmmm....yes" :D my realistic dream garage would have to be:

  1. Volvo P1800
  2. Volvo C30 D5 R-Design SE Sport
  3. Aston Martin DB9
  4. Audi RS4 Avant
  5. SEAT Leon FR 550 Limited Edition

Gave myself a 5 car limit, to be realistic, but if I had room I would also add an XF, XK, XC90, R8, V8 Vantage, DB5, but unfortunately the garage would need an extension...

I decided to be realistic to and gave myself a 10 car limit (not including my current car). And in no particular order:

1) 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner with 426 Hemi and Hurst 4 speed with moderised suspesnsion and brakes.
2) '60s Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow (in silver of course)
3) 1972 Porsche 911T (Lachssilber on black leather) modernised interior components, suspension, engine, brakes, etc. Basically, retain stock look and engine, but with racing quality parts. Barely street legal is the goal here.
4) '06 M3 (Interlagos blue) 6 speed with CSL conversion, sans flappy-paddle stupidity.
5) 1979 Chevrolet Blazer with 454 (or 6.2L diesel) lifted 4 inches with 36s. Primer black (muddin' machine).
6) '05 Lexus LS430: reliable daily driver
7) E30 M3 for competition use
8) Ferrari 250 GTO SWB (cliche, blah, blah, blah...I'd have it in blue though)
9) Aston Martin V8 Vantage with twin superchargers. Titanium silver or British racing green. Or a DB5, V8 ('77) or a DB7...
10) Jaguar XKR (GT car)

I'd include a million more, but if I had a limit that would probably be it. Although I'd probably substitute a newer Defender 90 for the Blazer...

As for my current car, I would fit the full S-2 (I think that's the designation) DINAN kit, add BBS wheels (haven't decided which ones yet, I'm open to suggestions though :p ). To top it off, I'd add a ZHP/M3 style body kit to it; nothing too flashy, just a bit more aggressive. And an M3 steering wheel.

Phew...got me all excited there...
